Set of four beautifully carved 19th century walnut side or dining chairs. Each chair back is carved with a shell and acanthus leaf motif to the crest. and a heart and shield with stylised flowers. They bear the carved monogram C.W and year 1762.
These charming chairs are lovely examples of the traditional folk art seating of the Alsace Lorraine region of France,.

Circa: 19th Century

Origin: France

Condition: In excellent antique condition.
