Set of four 20th Century French Art Deco walnut bridge style armchairs in the manner of Ruhlmann. Circa 1930


The tapered front and curved back legs terminate on metal sabots, typical of the Ruhlmann style. They are beautifully made and offer great comfort and back support. Seats with later leather upholstery. 

 

France Émile-Jacques Ruhlmann [1878-1933], was a French furniture designer and interior decorator, who was one of the most important figures in the Art Deco movement. His furniture featured sleek designs and fine craftsmanship, and became a symbol of the luxury and modernity of Art Deco.
