PAIR OF 19TH CENTURY FRENCH WROUGHT IRON AND MARBLE PRESENTATION TABLES

A decorative pair of 19th Century French presentation or conservatory tables.

Each with a rectangular white marble top raised on elegant hand-forged wrought iron bases. The scrolling legs are joined by stretcher supports centred with cast lead foliate roundels and terminate in lead bun feet, retaining a beautifully weathered patina throughout. The refined proportions and restrained ornament reflect the understated elegance of late 19th and early 20th Century French terrace and winter garden furniture. The iron frames have been treated with a rust retardant to preserve the original surface while ensuring stability for interior or exterior use. Ideal as presentation tables, conservatory displays, side consoles, garden or retail display pieces. Circa 1900 

Good overall antique condition with age-related wear throughout. Surface oxidation and lovely patina consistent with age and use. The beautiful thick marble tops have been professionally restored and bear minor marks and wear commensurate with age and use.
