PAIR OF 1970'S ITALIAN HAND-BEATEN BRASS UMBRELLA STANDS

A sculptural pair of Mid-Century 1970s Italian brass umbrella stands, each with a distinctive twisted and fluted form and scalloped rim. 

Hand-worked in brass with a lightly hammered surface, retaining a rich aged patina throughout. Both examples bear original labels to the underside reading “Lavorato a Mano – Rame Ottone” and “Made in Italy”, indicating hand-crafted Italian manufacture in copper and brass. Their elegant organic silhouette makes them equally suitable as umbrella and stick stands or decorative floor vessels. 

Beautifully decorative with good scale and strong Mid-Century Italian character.
