An amusing and risque oil painting of a couple by the seaside Signed by the artist Bardy

Impressionistic erotic beach scene executed in the early 20th Century by listed female French painter Paulette Bardy.

Paulette Bardy, listed French Impressionist of the early part of the 20th Century, was born in Fez, Morocco and her works were accepted and exhibited at the prestigious Salon des Artistes Francais in Paris. Awarded in 1939 with a medal for her painting "Vendandes". She was a pupil of French artist Charles Fouqueray. Bardy also painted a series of controversial risque beach scenes, erotic in nature, titled "La Plage" and "Bord de Mer" in the manner of Eugene Boudin.
