MID-CENTURY ITALIAN SILVER AND GILT METAL FOLIATE FLORENTINE CEILING LIGHT OR WALL

A sculptural Mid-Century Italian Florentine ceiling light or wall sconce, beautifully hand-crafted in silvered and gilt tole. 

The design is centred around a bold arrangement of stylised silvered leaves, framed by richly embossed gilt foliage and delicate flowering vine tendrils, creating a layered botanical composition with wonderful depth and movement. Three bulb holders are integrated amongst the foliage, allowing the light to illuminate the sculptural metalwork while maintaining the piece’s elegant floral form. Executed in the distinctive Florentine style of the 1960s, the design is reminiscent of lighting produced by renowned makers such as Banci Firenze, celebrating the naturalistic craftsmanship for which the region became known. Equally suited for use as a flush-mounted ceiling light or an impressive wall sconce, it brings warmth, texture and a refined decorative presence to both classic and contemporary interiors.
