Mid-Century French horse racing scene colour print after Louis-Ferdinand Malespina (1874–1940).

Signed in the plate L. Malespina. A lively racing composition after the work of Louis-Ferdinand Malespina. Several thoroughbreds surge forward in close competition, their jockeys leaning low in the saddle as they round the bend. Malespina’s distinctive draughtsmanship — swift, confident lines combined with subtle colour — captures the energy and excitement of the racecourse. The simplicity of the background allows the drama of the horses in motion to take centre stage, giving the image a striking sense of movement.

Mounted in a clean oak frame which enhances the natural tones of the paper.
