A charming large-scale Mid-Century Spanish woven straw donkey sculpture, mounted on a later wooden plinth base. 


Handcrafted in tightly braided natural straw with expressive elongated ears, raffia mane and tail, and retaining its original harness detailing. The piece has developed a wonderfully warm patina throughout and displays beautifully as a decorative folk-art object. Unusually, the donkey retains woven straw male anatomical details, adding to its character and authenticity.


Sensitively restored and professionally mounted for stability and presentation. Presented as a decorative object only and not intended for seating or weight-bearing use.
