LARGE MID-CENTURY FRENCH SILVERPLATE SERVING TRAY BY PLASAIT

Mid Century elegant French silver-plated serving tray by Plasait Orfèvre, of impressive scale and weight, featuring integrated twin handles, a finely reeded border and stylised shell motifs to each corner. 

The restrained neoclassical design reflects the refined French taste of the Mid 20th Century, balancing practicality with understated luxury. Beautifully made with a notably heavy gauge, suggesting manufacture for formal entertaining or hôtel service, the tray has developed a soft timeworn patina with surface wear consistent with age and use, adding to its character and authenticity. A highly decorative and functional piece, ideal for use as a drinks tray, ottoman tray or centrepiece.
