Long French pierced iron garden bench, dating to the first quarter of the 20th Century.This fabulous iron banquette features a domed seat made from pierced iron sheeting. This material was used in WWII for vehicle transport through desert sand.This particular model was the precursor to later examples with back rests. It retains wonderful old green paint throughout.
