EARLY 20TH CENTURY OCTAGONAL VENETIAN MIRROR

A beautifully atmospheric Venetian octagonal mirror dating from the early 20th century.

Retaining its original hand-etched floral decoration and richly foxed mirrored border. The softly aged glass, combined with the delicate engraved foliate motifs and stylised flowerhead corner details, gives the piece exceptional depth and character. The extensive foxing and natural wear throughout create a wonderfully romantic patina, highly sought after in decorative Venetian mirrors of this period. 

Elegant in scale and form, it works equally well above a console, fireplace or within a layered gallery wall. Italy, Circa 1930.
