Early 20th Century French carved giltwood wall mirror of rectangular form.
The frame is richly carved with scrolling foliate ornament against a lattice ground, retaining its original gilded surface with a beautifully mellow patina and age-related wear. The mirror plate displays attractive foxing and light silvering losses consistent with its age.
The reverse retains the original trade label for Georges Caors, picture dealer and artistic framer: Rue Moustier, Marseille. Providing an interesting regional provenance.
