An extraordinary example of Folk Art, this large hall stand has been contructed using real grape vine branches as hooks and is decorated with sculpted stucco grape vine, leaves and grapes to the surround.
The shaped shelf has seven round holes, four for walking canes and 3 for umbrellas The beautiful old mirror has historic damage. To the top there sits a small wooded tazza.
This very rare French portmanteau dates to the 19th century.
