18TH CENTURY FRENCH WALNUT LIBRARY STEPS

A charming and practical set of 18th Century French library steps in solid walnut, retaining a deep rich patina and excellent Country House character. 

Constructed with three graduated steps and shaped side supports, the rear features unusual cross-braced construction adding both strength and decorative appeal. Beautifully proportioned with softly worn edges and a warm aged surface, these antique steps would work equally well in a library, kitchen, dressing room or beside shelving. A decorative yet highly functional piece of provincial French furniture. Circa 1780.
