18TH CENTURY FRENCH PINE BLANKET CHEST

A beautifully weathered 18th Century French Provincial pine coffer of simple boarded construction.

Retaining its original single-plank lid, iron strap hinges and internal candle box. Rich in character with warm honey tones, wonderful surface wear and an untouched patina accumulated over centuries of use. It has a key. Raised on integral shaped end-board feet, this versatile piece works equally well as a blanket chest, coffee table or storage trunk, bringing authentic rustic charm to both traditional and contemporary interiors. Circa 1760–1800.
