Fun, 20th century advertising sign for 'Verboden Vrucht' beer [Translation: Forbidden Fruit]

Originally, the beer was brewed for a local town festival. It is more commonly known as De Verboden Vrucht by the Belgians and Le Fruit Defendu by the French. The bottle caused uproar in the USA because the lable depicts a near naked Adam and Eve -until the Americans were persuaded that, in fact, it is not a picture of Adam and Eve but based on a Reubens painting.

 Circa: 20th Century

Condition: In excellent, vintage condition with expected wear commensurate with age and use.
