EARLY 19TH CENTURY NEO-CLASSICAL REVIVAL RAFRAICHISSOIR

Beautiful, early 19th century, French, zinc and brass rafraichissoir in the Neo-Classical style. This stunning piece has a zinc body with brass rim, banding to the waist and base. It stands on beautiful garlands with feet terminating on neo-classique masques sitting on clam shells.

This rare and exceptional piece serves as a champagne or wine cooler but also makes an exquisite cache pot.

Condition: In very good antique condition, with some signs of wear and restoration to the zinc commensurate with age and use.
