Pair of large 20th Century French painted and parcel-gilt metal arrow motif wall lights. 

A striking and sculptural pair of Mid-Century wall lights, of substantial weight and quality, formed as crossed arrows in painted and parcel-gilt metal. Combining classical motifs with a bold, architectural silhouette. Each sconce features elongated arrow shafts with a painted finish, accented by gilt arrowheads and fletching, intersecting behind a decorative brass rosette backplate. Elegant brass scrolling arms extend outward to support twin candle fittings, finished with simple cream sleeves that lend a clean, refined aesthetic. 

The original surface retains a beautifully aged patina, with gentle wear and tonal variation to the painted shafts and gilt details, enhancing their character and authenticity. Both decorative and highly versatile, these sconces make a strong visual statement—ideal for flanking a mirror, chimney breast, or architectural opening. In the manner of Maison Baguès. 

Recently fully rewired and PAT tested, ready for installation.
