ANTIQUE CHINESE OPIUM BED

A large antique northern Chinese Ming Dynasty style kang opium bed with cabriole legs and hand-carved frieze in scroll pattern. Dating to the early 1900s, this exquisite opium bed could be used as a low coffee table. Presenting a rectangular waisted top with central board retaining its original finely woven top, the bed is raised on four shaped legs. With its nice proportions, lovely distressed brown/red lacquer patina, this opium bed will bring an exotic touch to any home. Circa 1900
