MONUMENTAL SET OF THREE 1970'S GILT WHEAT SHEAF WALL SCONCES IN THE MANNER OF HANS KOGL

A striking and highly decorative suite of three gilt metal wall sconces executed in the manner of Hans Kögl, dating from the 1970s. 

The set comprises a monumental central five-light example flanked by a matching pair of two-light sconces, all formed as stylised wheat sheaves with tulip buds and elongated leaves. Beautifully hand-worked with twisted metal bindings and sculptural wheat stems, the composition reflects the organic Hollywood Regency aesthetic associated with German and French decorative lighting of the period. The warm aged gilt surface and naturalistic detailing give the pieces a strong sculptural presence even when unlit. An impressive arrangement suitable for both classic and contemporary interiors. 

Central sconce: 103cm high × 30cm wide × 16cm deep. Pair: 57cm high × 33cm wide × 16cm deep each.
