Beautiful large 20th Century French mirror with lovely old mirror glass and Montparnasse frame.

With original paint and superb patination. Some minor expected foxing to mirror plate

Montparnasse frames are from the early 20th Century and are reputed to be designed by the many Russian painters who had begun to congregate in the Montparnasse area between 1908-1914. 

Since they were artists with very little means, they carved the frames themselves from modest pine and left them un-gilded.
