A Mid-Century French oil on canvas painting depicting a black and white English pointer standing within an expansive landscape. 


Painted in profile against rolling hills and verdant foliage, the composition is rendered in soft natural tones with loose, painterly brushwork. Decorative in character and evocative of traditional European sporting pictures. Unframed, presented on later stretcher, the canvas show gentle linear impressions consistent with historic rolling and subsequent restoration, commensurate with age and adding to its time worn character without affecting its decorative presentation.
