A long lumbar cushion constructed from an early 20th Century Kurdish runner fragment, likely woven in western Persia or eastern Anatolia.

The richly saturated field is woven in deep madder red, aubergine and soft ivory, with bold geometric medallions and stylised tribal motifs characteristic of Kurdish nomadic design.

The front retains the wonderful abrash, texture and irregularity of the original handwoven runner, giving the piece enormous warmth and decorative presence. Backed in antique natural linen and professionally feather-filled.

A striking decorative cushion with strong graphic impact, ideal for layering on a sofa, daybed or bench.

Origin: Persia

Condition: In good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear.
