LARGE FRENCH REPOUSSÉ BRASS CUSHION MIRROR WITH CUPID CREST

A striking and large early 20th Century French cushion mirror of generous scale.

Richly decorated in repoussé brass with exuberant Rococo scrollwork. The deeply moulded frame is crowned by a finely detailed figure of Cupid, poised with bow aloft, set amidst swirling acanthus and foliate ornament. The original mirrored plates are arranged in a layered configuration, enhancing depth and light, while the warm patinated brass surface lends a subtle, aged lustre. The composition reflects the elegance of the Louis XV revival, with its fluid lines and romantic decorative motifs. 

A highly decorative statement piece, ideal for overmantel placement or as a focal point in both classical and contemporary interiors.
