With a faux wood painted finish and attractive, time-worn patina. Circa 1900.

Originally designed to hang on a library wall rail, this decorative French eschelle de bibliotheque spent its later life in an artists atelier in Provence, leaving gentle traces of paint that speak to its creative past.
