Very rare and charming early 19th Century French trumeau mirror.

The painting depicts a flower collecting youth walking along a leafy country lane. With collecting box over the shoulder, in one hand he carries wildflowers that have been gathered. A small snake crosses his path and we see a small spade leaning against a tree ready for further discoveries. Across the river is a view of a grand house, likely the home of the gentleman collector.

Framed in the original gilt frame, this wonderful painting sits over a mirror with lovely age and patina.
