20TH CENTURY SIGNED MODERNIST WATERCOLOUR AND INK PAINTING 'WOMAN WITH GLASS OF RED WINE'

20th Century French Modernist watercolour and ink painting on paper.

Signed by the artist Laurent Betremieux to the lower right. Framed behind glass in simple wooden frame. It features a woman and a glass of red wine. 

Laurent Betremieux was born in Paris in 1959 and studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Clermont Ferrand and Aix-en-Provence. In the 80s, he began to exhibit in Europe: France, Belgium, the United Kingdom (London) and Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City). His works have been acquired in public collections and collections: in Arras (Conseil Général du Nord Pas de Calais), by the Artothèques of Arles, Ile de France, Reunion Island and Miramas as well as by the Bibliothèque Nationale de Paris, the Bibliothèque de Saint Quentin and the Musée d'Art de Toulon (MAT). In 1989, he received the Grand Prix de la Critique in Paris, followed by the Grand Prix de la Peinture in 1990 and the Prix de la Presse in Deauville in 1994.
