A charming 19th Century French 'Saint Saveur' Arras garden table.

Crafted in wrought and cast iron, featuring a classic circular top raised on an elegant tripod base with gently scrolling supports and a central stretcher ring. The decorative junction of the legs bears the Arras foundry mark, a hallmark of the renowned iron workshops of Arras in northern France. Arras became famous during the mid-19th century for producing high-quality wrought iron garden furniture, hand-forged and riveted using traditional techniques. These pieces were designed for the gardens and terraces of grand European homes and are prized today for their durability, graceful forms, and distinctive craftsmanship.

The table retains its beautiful time-worn patina, with traces of historic hues of green and yellow paint. The natural weathering enhances its authentic antique character. The curved legs terminate in cast feet, and the elegant proportions make it ideal as a bistro or occasional table for a garden, terrace, or conservatory. It works equally well as an interior piece.

An original, rare and highly decorative example of classic French garden furniture, combining sculptural ironwork with timeless rustic charm.
