A charming pair of early 20th Century French provincial pedestal stands.

Probably originating from the South-West of France. Crafted in solid wood, each stand features a circular top decorated with geometric star marquetry, raised on a turned central column and shaped quadripod base. The rustic craftsmanship, warm aged patina and naïve folk-art detailing give the pair considerable decorative character. Reflecting the traditional country furniture associated with rural French interiors, they are ideal as plant stands, lamp tables or display pedestals.

Presented in good antique condition with age-related wear, surface marks and minor historic imperfections consistent with use and age. Structurally sound and stable. Top diameters 29 and 30cm.
