Charming French artist's box and palette set by Lefranc Bourgeois, dating to the second quarter of the 20th Century.
This fine quality set is in a hinged walnut box with leather handles. It retains some of its tubes of paint, a box of charcoal, a mixing bowl and some other resources.
Retaining the maker's label. Lefranc Bourgeois recently celebrated their 300th anniversary in services to artists. Their story began in 1720 near the banks of the River Seine, stocking vibrant pigments as well as spices. They are celebrated for their passion for colour and the finest quality.
A lovely set with great personal history.
