Large mid-20th Century English painted pub sign titled 'The Horse & Jockey'. Signed by the artist, S.Brewin below the horse's rear hoof.
Depicted is a race track with the jockey W. Rickaby [no.6] mounted on his horse. To the rear is the tote board for the 3rd Race with the names of well known flat race jockeys of the time. Listed is Lester Piggott, the world famous jockey, and Rickaby's cousin. It is one sided and ready to hang. Lots of detail, with well dressed racegoers, a Shipstones Ales sign and even an ice cream stand can be seen by the marquee.
